Over forty journalists from 16 countries traveled to New Hampshire to cover the presidential debates.  On the day between the debates, the journalists visited the state capital for a series of briefings from New Hampshire's Secretary of State who explained the history of New Hampshire's first-in-the-nation status in the process of selecting presidential nominees and the 2008 frontload primary and caucus calendar.  The chairmen of New Hampshire's Democratic and Republican State Committees gave an up-to-date briefing on each party's candidates.
