The New York Foreign Press Center and the New York City Department of Small Business Services organized a walking tour of two New York City Business Improvement Districts (BID) - Union Square and Flatiorn Districts.  Eight journalists from seven countries participated in the tour which included a briefing by SBS Commissioner Robert Walsh.  The tour focused on how BIDs improve the business development of the areas and the walk between Union Square and Flatiron showed the contrast between BID and non-BID districts. At the conclusion of the tour, journalists met with Turkish and Lebanese business owners in BID areas.
