Seventeen journalists representing Latin American, Asian, and European media outlets participated on a four day reporting tour organized by the Los Angeles Foreign Press Center to Seattle and other regions of Washington State.  The tour focused on Seattle-based aviation, video gaming, trade, and coffee retail companies to cover aspects of the Pacific Northwest global economy.  Journalists also visited the U.S.-Canada border to observe DHS-CBP management and patrolling of the vast northern border.   A day trip to Leavenworth showcased the running of the salmon, Native cultures that revere the fish, natural resource protection, and ‘Bavaria’ of the Cascades.   Experience Music Project, Seattle Mariners’ Baseball game, and a central Washington winery provided the international press additional regional coverage.
