Update on World Trade Center Tower Designs, Plans for the WTC Memorial and Construction Activity at the Site

WHAT:   World Trade Center:  UPDATE ON WORLD TRADE CENTER TOWER DESIGNS, PLANS FOR THE WTC    MEMORIAL AND CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY AT THE SITE

WHEN:   Thursday, September 6, 2007, 11:00 a.m.  (Set up begins at 10:15 a.m.; the briefing will begin promptly at 11 a.m.) Interviews   available at 12:00 p.m.; Lunch reception at 1 p.m.

Background:

The speakers will present updates on their projects and construction activity, as well as the strength of the downtown economy. Final updated designs for three WTC office towers will be presented. The refinements to the three towers build upon the conceptual designs unveiled in September 2006 and provide greater detail with regard to critical design elements, including lobbies, public space and building exteriors.  DVDs with renderings and animation will be available. The 11AM presentation will be followed by the opportunity to interview project team members at 12 Noon, and a 1:00PM lunch reception.  Tours will also be available of 7 World Trade Center, the first building to be rebuilt at the WTC site, which is now over 70% leased.
