Nine journalists from the UK, Russia, Germany,Austria, Japan, Spain and Finland visited Ft. Stewart to cover the deployment ceremony for 3rd Infantry Division soldiers returning to Iraq.  Participants attended a luncheon with soldiers and their familites and members of the local community and observed the ceremonial casing of the colors.  Other media arranged to cover field training exercises where U.S. soldiers practice cultural awareness and experience mock attacks in a simulated Iraqi village.
