Thirty three journalists from sixteen countries visited the Science Barge, a floating experiment in urban sustainable living developed by New York Sun Works, an environmental NGO.  The journalists received a tour and briefed by founder Dr. Ted Caplow, getting an up-close look at the Science Barge's greenhouse and its hyroponic gardens, as well as the barge's solar photovoltaic cells, wind turbines, and rainwater catchment systems.
