2004 NATO Tour

The Foreign Press Center, in conjunction with US-NATO public Affairs, organized a two-week NATO reporting tour for thirteen journalists from thirteen NATO member countries.  Under the auspices of US-NATO, the reporters visited NATO headquarters in Brussels for briefings and interviews and spent two days at the Allied Transformation Command headquarters in Norfolk, Virginia.  In Washington, the Foreign Press Center arranged interviews with senior government officials, members of Congress, and academics.  Interviews included Senator Richard Lugar, Deputy Secretary Richard Armitage, Assistant Secretaries Beth Jones and Doug Feith, DAS Ian Brezenski, and Congressman Richard Wexler.
