THE KERRY CAMPAIGN

According to the “Boston Globe” and other media sources, Senator and Mrs. Kerry will stop in the Pittsburg area on Election Day for Mrs. Kerry to cast her vote before traveling to Boston where the Senator will vote; they will remain at their home there to wait for the results of the Election.

According to the Democratic National Committee, there is a large party being planned for Copley Square in downtown Boston on Tuesday, November 2.  Although the event is Open Press, except for TV, credentials will be required.  Space will be very limited.  The press will likely be confined to a designated area for the event.

Make your request ON-LINE at http://advance.johnkerry.com/ElectionNight/.   Specify your requests for credentials, riser space, file space and satellite/microwave truck parking.  Space will be limited, but the campaign will make best efforts to accommodate all media outlets. There will be a charge for telephone and computer lines in the filing facilities; wireless Internet will be available.  Updates and further details on the program and site logistics will be provided periodically as they are finalized.  ONLY REQUESTS RECEIVED THROUGH THE WEBSITE WILL BE HONORED.

FOR TELEVISION JOURNALISTS:

The Democratic National Committee Press Office has warned that TV riser space in Copley Square is very limited.  If you work with a US affiliate, please contact them as soon as possible.  It is likely that foreign television cameras will not be assigned riser space; it may be preferable to apply as print press or to specify that you are television but will not be carrying cameras.

The Republican National Committee has said that due to space restrictions at the Reagan Building, television coverage will also be limited to network pool coverage.
