Free Market Economy

The Foreign Press Centers arranged a reporting tour for eleven Central European journalists visiting from Slovakia, Hungary, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Albania, Poland and Croatia focusing on the workings and benefits of a free market economy.  The tour brought the journalists through Washington, D.C., Chicago and New York City.  Appointments included meetings at a variety of NGOs, think tanks, news organizations and government agencies, including: Cato Institute, Citizens for a Sound Economy, Department of Commerce, World Bank, Boeing World Headquarters, Chicago Board of Trade, City of Chicago Cultural Affairs, Sloan Valve Company, the New York Stock Exchange, The Wall Street Journal and the New York Times.
