Washington, DC tour for the 2002 East Asia Pacific Thomas Jefferson Fellows

The Washington FPC, in collaboration with the East West Center, coordinated a four day reporting tour to Washington, DC, for the 2002 Jefferson Fellows, which this year included midlevel media specialists from Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, India, Pakistan, the Philippines and China.

The group met with government officials, including the Office of Homeland Security, to discuss the national and international implications of the war on terrorism. They also met with members of the Islamic communities both in DC and NY to discuss Islam in America.
