On December 18, 17 journalists from 12 countries including Brazil, China, Japan, Korea, Turkey, Germany, Russia, and Spain got an exclusive look at how Bloomingdale's is attracting U.S. and international shoppers. Journalists met with Bloomingdale's Chairman and CEO Michael Gould and COO Tony Spring, who emphasized the "melting pot nature" of the Bloomingdale's consumer, representing over 150 countries, and the unique, experiential opportunities the store offers shoppers. The briefing was followed by a tour of the flagship store's innovative operations with Senior VP and General Manager Richard Mast, leaving many journalists wanting to know if and when Bloomingdale's might bring its signature approach to their countries.
