The New York Foreign Press Center coordinated more than 50 foreign media representatives' participation in a September 7 press tour of 4 World Trade Center – the first office tower that will be completed and opened on the original 16-acre World Trade Center site. Officials from Silverstein Properties, Maki & Associates Architects and Tishman Construction were on hand to discuss the tower’s development, design and construction. The 72-story Maki-designed tower, which will open in late 2013, is a significant focus of lower Manhattan's renewal and economic re-development in the post-9/11 period. Renderings, photos, animation and fact sheets depicting 4 World Trade Center and the overall redevelopment were made available to journalists. The tours and interviews were held inside the 4WTC construction site.
