New York Foreign Press Center worked with the National Parks Service to organize a "National Tourism Treasures" tour to Federal Hall, the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. Sixteen journalists from Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, the Dominican Republic, Germany, Hungary, Italy, the Netherlands, South Africa, and Vietnam participated. These nationally managed historical sites are key assets of the President's National Travel and Tourism Strategy (launched in May 2012P to attract 100 million foreign tourists by 2021.
The Office of Website Management, Bureau of Public Affairs, manages this site as a portal for information from the U.S. State Department.
