Twenty-eight foreign journalists from around the world participated in the reporting tour on "The U.S. Economy and Its Global Role: Perspectives from Wall Street and Main Street." As part of the tour, Under Secretary of State for Economic Growth, Energy and Environment Robert Hormat briefed on “21st Century Economic Statecraft.”
Economists, analysts and managers from Morgan Stanley, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Keefe, Bruyette & Woods, Standard & Poor’s and BlackRock provided briefings on the financial services industry and the U.S. economic recovery. The journalists also heard from AFL-CIO Deputy Chief Investment Officer Brandon Rees on corporate governance issues and from Bloomberg News Editor-at-Large Tom Keene.
