The New York Foreign Press Center took journalists from Germany, Belgium, the United Kingdom, Japan, the Netherlands and Switzerland to North Dakota to cover the state’s booming oil industry as well as the development of wind energy businesses there. During their October 2-5 reporting tour, the journalists met with state and industry officials, visited an oil field and a wind farm and talked with locals who are feeling the positive economic impacts of the growth in energy jobs.
