APEC and the World Bank to Enhance Food Safety and Facilitate Food Trade

Big Sky, MT. – At an event in Big Sky, Montana, at 9:00 a.m. MDT on Wednesday, May 18, Deputy United States Trade Representative Demetrios Marantis will welcome the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the APEC Food Safety Cooperation Forum and the World Bank to collaborate on food safety capacity building (training) programs designed to enhance food safety and to facilitate trade throughout the Asia Pacific region.
A live video feed of the 9:00 a.m. signing event will be made available in the APEC Press Filing Center in the Lone Peak Café at the Big Sky Resort.
At approximately 10:00 a.m., participants in the signing ceremony will be available for questions in the Press Filing Center. Please note that due to space constraints, coverage of the 9:00 a.m. event is via video feed only.
