Eighteen foreign journalists from 16 countries visited Marine Corps Base Quantico on Wednesday, April 6, 2011 for a half-day reporting tour on the “Making of a U.S. Marine Officer / Urban Warfare." Media covered Marine officer trainees practicing urban warfare tactics in a mock Afghan village. They also interviewed trainees about their reasons for joining the Marines and the prospect of serving in Afghanistan.
