The Washington Foreign Press Center organized a reporting tour about Immigration in the United States to San Diego, California on January 24-26, 2011. Journalists visited the U.S.-Mexico border, interviewed Customs and Border Protection officers, day laborers, a humanitarian organization, the San Diego Chamber of Commerce, the owner of a landscaping business and representatives from pro immigration and anti immigration nonprofit organizations. Seventeen print, radio and television journalists from Brazil, Canada, China, Czech Republic, France, Germany, India, Italy, Poland, Russia, Spain and Sweden participated in the tour.
