Thirteen journalists from Bulgaria, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Moldova, The Netherlands, Switzerland,Ukraine, The United Kingdom, and the European Union participated in the tour. During the week-long program, all angles of the data privacy issue were examined and discussed by a range of USG officials, academics, and legal practitioners in Washington, DC, and New York, New York. Briefings were held at the Treasury Dept.; Dept. of Homeland Security; Federal Trade Commission; the Dept. of Commerce; and other agencies. The journalists also met with academics from Georgetown and Brooklyn Law Schools, as well as a data privacy attorney from the international law firm of Hunton & Williams, LLP.
