The New York Foreign Press Center, in cooperation with the Actors Theatre of Louisville, held its annual reporting tour to the Blue Grass State of Kentucky for the 34th Annual Humana Festival of New American Plays.
The Actors Theatre of Louisville's Humana Festival is a premier national event and showcase where theater goers and critics from around the world converge on this Kentucky community to get the first look at the future of the American theater. Over 350 plays have been produced in the internationally acclaimed festival, representing the work of over 200 playwrights.
Ten foreign journalists representing nine countries participated in this tour which included opportunities for the journalists to attend nine world premiere plays. There were also opportunities to participate in panel disucssions on the American theater and to have media availabilities with the playwrights and theater staff.
