Thirty journalists from “open media countries,” representing every regional bureau participated in the first installment of the Foreign Press Center's Social Media Tour. The group met with several State Department officials, Macon Phillips from the White House New Media Office, Congressman Chaffetz (R-UT) and Congressman Polis (D-CO). In San Francisco, they also met with representatives from Facebook, Google, YouTube, and Twitter co-founder Biz Stone to discuss new media technology.
