H1N1 and U.S. Cooperation with Latin America

Nine radio and print journalists from Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia, the Dominican Republic Guatemala, Mexico, Paraguay, and Venezuela participated in a Washington Foreign Press Center reporting tour about H1N1.

While in Washington, the journalists interviewed experts and high-level officials at the Department of Health and Human Services, the Department of State, the U.S. Agency for International Development, the Pan American Health Organization, and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration within the U.S. Department of Labor.

The journalists then traveled to Atlanta for interviews at the Centers for Disease Control, the Georgia Department of Community Health, Emory University, and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
