The New York Foreign Press Center organized a local tour of the USS Intrepid museum. 20 foreign journalists attended and were given information and audio tours in the following languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Chinese and Japanese. They had access to the ship and were taught about its involvement in WWII and the Vietnam War in the context of learning more about American military history.
