Philadelphia Resources for Media Covering Pennsylvania Primaries


WHAT: City, state and private agencies are working together to offer resources and hospitality to the hundreds of media in Historic Philadelphia and throughout Pennsylvania in advance of the Commonwealth's presidential primary on
April 22, 2008. Resources include:


www.phillyprimary.com, a one-stop source for media information regarding the Pennsylvania primary on April 22 and the Democratic debate at the National Constitution Center on April 16. The site, for media only, provides information about transportation, permits, hotels, restaurants (including those open late), presidential connections to Philadelphia and relevant press releases, photos and other resources to make working in Philadelphia seamless.
www.newPA.com/PAprofiles, a top resource for facts on the health of Pennsylvania's economy and a direct link to interviews with some of the Commonwealth's unique, successful citizens. Call (866) go-newPA and ask for the Communications Office.
Primary Eve Welcome Media Reception, open to all credentialed media in Historic Philadelphia. Philly fare will be served as media mix and mingle. RSVP to contact above.

Independence Visitor Center, 6th & Market streets, Philadelphia
Private Media Tours of Independence Hall, including a stop at Congress Hall, where the historic transfer of power from Washington to Adams happened in an age of monarchy. Cameras will be allowed at both tours. RSVP to contact above.
